Amanda Cleveland, M.D.
Dr. Cleveland feels privileged to have the opportunity to provide women’s health care to the West Jordan and Riverton communities. As an experienced physician, she understands the physical and emotional challenges women face. She provides a wide array of care including well-woman care, routine and high-risk pregnancy, contraception, and medical and surgical management of common gynecological conditions including bleeding, pain, and fibroids. She uses empowerment through education and encourages her patients to be partners in their health care decisions.
Dr. Cleveland completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine and OB/GYN residency at Virginia Commonwealth University where she was appointed chief administrative resident. Dr. Cleveland served four years of active duty in the Air Force at Nellis AFB. While at Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center, she served as a staff OB/GYN physician, 1 year as Obstetrics Chair and 1 year as Gynecology Chair, Morbidity and Mortality Committee Chair, and Family Medicine Residency Adjunct Faculty.
Dr. Cleveland is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has been awarded a poster presentation at AUGS Annual Scientific Meeting, an oral presentation for Stump the Professors at the ACOG District IV Conference, and publication in the Seminars in Perinatology journal.
Dr. Cleveland was born into a military family who’s frequent moves instilled in her a love for travel. She enjoys exploring new cultures and cuisines, cooking, and live music. She likes to spend her free time outdoors, especially hiking and swimming.
Dr. Cleveland is looking forward to joining the staff and establishing a practice at Jordan River Women’s Health with hopes to expand her practice to underserved communities.
